    It is very interesting as to why there are black spots as opposed to the overwhelming light/brighter surrounding areas.

    This is a really interesting feature and it seems to be pretty big? Is there any explanation as to what this could be or is unknown?

    I would love for the JunoCam to take a closer image of this dark blue-gray spot. It seems to be one of the most prominent aside from the Great Red Spot.

    I suspect this is a flow of methane solid or liquid under pressure flowing under cloud of gas. Photos Stereo from Ceres-00 pics.

    Dark blue-gray areas are thought to be associated with some of the clearest regions of Jupiter's atmosphere because they appear to be associated with the brightest regions in the thermal infrared at wavelengths near 5 microns, a "spectroscopic window" allowing us to detect radiation from cloud tops. In these features we can detect clouds down to about 6 bars of atmospheric pressure.
